Budget Truck Rental serves both the consumer and light commercial sectors. We are currently searching for a talented Maintenance Manger to successfully manage truck damage and repairs.

Job Summary:

As an entry level Inventory Manager, you will effectively manage dealers and company assets to achieve maximum revenue, transactions and utilization while adhering to all cost saving objectives. Monitors daily inventory requirements. Schedules and prioritizes daily runs to fulfill reservations, and communicates placement of reservations. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment. Furthermore, you will also work with Inventory Manager I to ensure a complete understanding of transfer philosophy and process through coaching and training. Justify and plan strategic transfer moves. Submit approved transfer invoices to Accounts Payable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the profitable and productive use of inventory within territory. Utilizes key business drivers such as revenue, revenue per unit, utilization, and transactions to position fleet for maximum return. Ensures all reservations are covered on a daily basis.

  • Leverages information systems to optimize maintenance scheduling and PM currency. Communicates maintenance performance deficiencies with appropriate field management.

  • Assesses market demographics. Identifies under-penetrated markets and Dealers. Communicates market findings with appropriate functional areas, and recommends and implements action plans to improve penetration.

  • Monitors daily inventory requirements. Schedules and prioritizes daily runs to fulfill reservations, and communicates placement of reservations. Monitors transfer service performance and driver quality. Identifies and moves all trucks designated for disposal from the active fleet.

  • Provide technical assistance to the Operations department

  • Day to day management of all data buckets (this includes but is not limited to open transfers, idle vehicles and shop units). The Inventory Manager II will be held accountable to make sure all buckets are within company standards

  • Administer process of retrieving trucks and making sure they are towed to correct facilities for recalls, rebranding or sale/trade. When trucks are inserviced, the IM II would be responsible for determining inservice locations.

  • Coordinate, order, verify and track all accessories and towing.

    Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors’ degree preferred.

  • Background in retail and or fleet reservation related experience a plus but not required.

  • Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills and capable of determining priorities in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and results-driven orientation. Able to demonstrate drive for achieving results and ability to convey a sense of urgency when appropriate.

  • Strong organization and administration skills and detail orientation to ensure day to day smooth operations and to keep detailed, accurate records.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate accurate inventory information to a wide variety of audiences, including staff, operations and corporate management.

  • Strong customer service skills along with a strong responsiveness to the inventory needs of staff at each location, and the needs of the customers.

  • Strong math and analytical skills, ability to analyze complex inventory data and cost figures to determine areas of concerns or areas that require action.

  • Strong MS Office skills.
