Avis Budget Group Financial Analyst II in Dallas, Texas

The Financial Analyst II provides financial planning and analysis in support of the area management. This includes the compilation and reporting of key operating data, preparation and tracking of forecasts, performance of compliance audits and maintenance of databases. Additionally, this role will assist with the monthly accounting close and development of the annual operating budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monthly accounting close. Through the usage of the Oracle Essbase data management system, audit and review month-end operating results. Prepare journal entries as required. Create and analyze miscellaneous ad-hoc reports. Produce and distribute monthly staffing results. Research and provide support to field managers regarding accruals and payments.

  • Assist in the production and review of the annual operating budget and forecast. Analyze field submissions for accuracy and content. Produce backup schedules for key accounts.

  • Perform on and off site audits of area operating locations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in RACM. Prepare summary of audit findings and provide report to management.

  • Produce and maintain databases of key operating statistics for use by management to achieve operational results.

  • Prepare PAR’s and regional blankets for capital expenditures.

  • Provide financial and operating assistance to field operation and administrative locations.

  • Prepare reports for management for presentation to internal stakeholders.

  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of business experience.

  • Must be able to work independently on simultaneous projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as part of the organization.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multi-task, strong organization skills and deadline driven.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Brio and Tableau.
