Avis Budget Group Business Activation Specialist - Remote Location (Western US Preferred) in Houston, Texas
This individual can be based in California, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK.
Collaborate with the Sales organization in on-boarding newly signed Large Commercial contractual accounts. Provides customer relationship support and sales development through inbound and outbound calls or meetings focused on establishing renter profiles, creating bias in booking channels, presenting available alternatives and vertical features as well as offering additional sales opportunities. Further generates increased revenue by contacting and working with existing contract accounts that are not achieving the contracted revenue pace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the implementation stage of the sales process for new accounts; conducting and selling through implementation activities, allowing the account manager to continue to build the customer relationship and move on to additional selling activities. Often will be involved in initial selling stages as a member of the account management team. Relied upon to drive the implementation seamlessly and expeditiously to volume commitment within a defined period.
Educates customers on contractual program alternatives, features, and benefits. Establishes account profiles, rental profiles, enrollment sites, billing accounts, communication portfolios, communicates internally across multiple departments for required support. Presents additional features and suggests additional sales opportunities.
Works with existing contract accounts that are not achieving the contracted revenue commitment. Helps identify root cause of revenue shortfall and offers solutions with a focus on fostering on-going customer relationships and increasing revenue.
Reports revenue results by account and provides timely status updates.
Coordinates conference calls with key customer contacts and internal support teams (Online Marketing, Operations, Shared and Account Services).
Implements account management best practices under support of Manager, Business Activation, and Senior Sales Management
Participates in internal monthly status calls to lend insight into account development and obstacles to overcome

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities.
Associates Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years experience in a corporate sales function.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of general account management processes and procedures.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is required.
A valid driver's license is required for all positions. Drug screening is a part of our hiring process.
