The Area Manager of Fleet Planning will be responsible for the development and data integrity of the fleet planning documents; as well as all supporting schedules for the geography assigned. This role will be responsible for integrating the demand volume forecasts with the distribution of fleet to achieve planned utilization. Mapping and managing the execution of goals will be a high priority. This role will create, plan and report out on all fleet metrics.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of DFP across SEA.
Responsible for the initial and ongoing development and maintenance of the Fleet Plan data and supporting schedules.
Optimize supply and demand relationship as it relates to Fleet inclusive of, car class distribution, utilization and revenue per unit.
Understand and manage fleet accounts on the company’s P&L.
Support the company’s Fleet strategic initiatives.
Manages the Fleet Distribution across cities and districts within assigned locations.
Helps manage and execute proper vehicle cascading and sharing between ABG brands while maintaining asset control.
Utilize Fleet Support tools including FPS, Marginal Cost, Omega and PROS; to interpret data and make recommendations.
Supervise and develop one or more team members.
Interface and communicate with Fleet management in Parsippany, to share results and look for efficiencies.
Act as liaison between ABG corporate Fleet and the field locations within assigned locations.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelors Degree required with a concentration in statistics or mathematics preferred.
Masters Degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning /forecasting
Previous operational experience
Solution Model experiences a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel and database querying skills required.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong aptitude for problem solving required.
Strong Microsoft Word and Power Point skills required.
Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams required.
Strong planning and communication skills required.
Strong knowledge of database reporting required
Must be willing to travel occasionally
Strong business acumen
