Avis Budget Group Coordinator Sales I in Newark, New Jersey

Description

The Sales Coordinator contributes to the success of Avis Budget Group by coordinating support for revenue generating activities of the Avis Budget commercial sales team, inclusive of Account Managers and Sales Vice President. The position will provide support on a daily basis as the business; clients and industry dictate and act as a liaison to clients and various Avis Budget departments. The Coordinator will interface with departments in order to ensure quality support.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate proposals/bids, agreements and agreement processing

  • Sales presentation and account review preparation

  • Implementation activities for existing accounts, such as profile management, refreshed Avis Budget messaging for the account, compile implementation results trackers

  • Utilize product knowledge and respond efficiently and accurately to customer special requests

  • Prepare detailed customer reports and work on special projects

  • Provide daily phone coverage, order/receive supplies

  • Maintain regional files

  • Coordinate Business Review requirements

  • Supports strategic Sales initiatives

Reports to: the Global Account Manager / Director, Sales Operations

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Associates Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 2 + years experience in a corporate environment with exposure to a sales division

  • Experience within a car rental or travel related industry a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Possess a high level of professionalism

  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly while working with all levels (internal and external)

  • High attention to detail with efficient follow-up skills

  • Self-motivated and able to contribute individually as well as part of a team

  • Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Exposure to sales software, specifically salesforce.com, a plus

  • Regular and punctual attendance required

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is required.
