Avis Budget Group Business Marketing Manager in Parsippany, New Jersey

Job Summary

As the Manager of Business Marketing you will be responsible to support the Avis Budget Group Sales strategy to acquire new profitable business, retain and grow existing business worldwide, and provide innovative solutions that support sales initiatives. This will include managing comprehensive marketing plans to support the Sales Team, developing communication strategies, supporting customer database (Salesforce.com) and customer reporting functions. You will be responsible for daily interactions with the sales organization to provide marketing support to increase sales effectiveness and support sales efforts. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops sales collateral and acts as an internal advisor for sales strategy. Supports sales efforts – including but not limited to designing effective sales pitches, conducts market research to develop presentation decks to support Quarterly Business Reviews, and designs effective communication templates and reports. Archives and manages a library of sales resources and tools.

  • Responsible for executing on the internal communication plan in regards to providing market trends, product information, competitive intel, Salesforce.com (SFDC) updates, marketing programs, company and industry information.

  • Provides marketing, media support, and strategy for B2B publications, trade shows, conferences, and events in U.S. and Canada.

  • Daily Sales support as needed. Be the primary contact for sales questions regarding internal resources. Liaise between sales and other internal departments to facilitate the sales process and implement marketing programs.

  • Supports and provides back up to Salesforce.com (SFDC) Administrator to increase sales effectiveness by working with sellers on utilization of Salesforce.com and related reporting tools.

  • Manages, records and tracks invoice processing for business marketing functions

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications (may vary by level)

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years Sales or Marketing experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong creativity, writing, editing, and document production skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and complete projects under tight deadlines

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Requires excellent analytical ability, creative skills, a high attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Knowledge of effective sales techniques, principles and of Salesforce.com a plus.

  • Proven ability to support customers with diverse requirements.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required.
