Avis Budget Group Entry level Financial Analyst in Parsippany, New Jersey
This position provides financial planning and analysis in support of our Americas finance team. This includes consolidation and reporting of monthly forecasts, monthly and quarterly results, data mining, and capital investments. As part of the role, the employee will have a strong understanding of the business and provide detailed forecasts with commentary and fact based analysis to business partners and finance leadership. As a member of our financial planning team, you will be expected to be knowledgeable of the latest forecast tools to improve the speed, accuracy, reproduction and flexibility of the forecast process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the monthly close process, which includes preparing journal entries, calculating incentive and commission payments and maintaining various databases.
Drive daily, monthly and quarterly reporting for the local market division.
Analyze and forecast capital expenditures.
Assist in the performance evaluation of local market car rental locations.
Support the development of our annual business plan and long-term financial forecast.
Support ad hoc financial analysis requests of our Americas finance team and business partners in support of critical business decisions, analysis will include profitability/margin analysis
Assist with ad hoc project initiatives and perform deep dive analytics.
Perform financial analysis for potential new locations and business relationships and understand the impact to the overall business.
Support field operations with input of key financial information and provide day-to-day finance support.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Regular interaction with various business units and field operations.
Qualifications (may vary by level)
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
MBA, CPA or CFA with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
1 year of related experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within the organization.
Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams
Ability to multi-task, strong organization skills and is deadline driven.
Knowledge of financial statements analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with extremely strong Microsoft Excel skills including macros.
Requires excellent analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
Intermediate level of skill with MS PowerPoint (create presentation, charts, insert graphs & tables).
Knowledge of Hyperion Brio, Tableau and Hyperion Essbase strongly recommended
Strong record of academic and managerial achievement.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel will be required.
