Job Summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking talented and motivated financial systems professionals to join our Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) team.

The Oracle Financials Support Analyst will be a key member of the CFS team, providing daily support for Oracle production, enhancement projects and strategic initiatives related to Oracle Fusion Financials solution. The role requires a strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials, particularly in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Costing (PA), and Cash Management (CM).

We are transforming our finance function and transitioning the Financial Systems team to become the global center of expertise for best-in-class financial processes and systems solutions and are looking for professionals with the right mix of technical and analytical skills, problem solving ability and finance or accounting experience.

You will manage the global administration of applications, trouble-shoot issues, partner with Finance, Technology and the business, develop solutions, and evaluate and implement new functionality to ensure the users are leveraging the technologies to the fullest. You should be self-driven, motivated, intellectually curious, and have experience trouble-shooting and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, FA, PA, AR, CM) as a functional administrator performing system implementations, administration, and daily support to existing applications.

  • Participate in the design, build and implementation of business system solutions to solve business requirements; help bridge the gap between ‘business problems’ and ‘technology solutions’.

  • Investigate system configuration options to provide functional expertise when developing solutions to meet business requirements; develop strategies to use standard functionality to meet business needs whenever possible.

  • Collaborate with technical development teams and coordinate work efforts when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, and application updates.

  • Prepares documentation on financial application processes and procedures, as well as maintains documentation to include any updates or changes to processes.

  • Provides training and assistance to new and existing users.

  • Provides overall financial reporting support to the organization’s functions and special project requests.

  • Conducts functional and technical analysis to support business requirements and development of associated functional and technical specifications.

  • Participates in new technology testing, development, and support.

  • Assists in maintenance of interfaces to/from other applications of financial systems.

  • Acts as liaison with IT and functional users of the Oracle modules.

  • Assists with developing project plans for deployment of new technology.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and new technologies impacting the Financial Systems function.

  • Participates in the strategic initiatives.

Qualifications (may vary by level)

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Systems or Business required.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting or administering Finance and Accounting systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials R12 (GL, AP, FA, PA, AR and CM). Experience in Fusion Financials and Fusion Procurement is a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of financial calculations, allocations and reporting.

  • Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office with a strong proficiency in Excel and Access and familiarity with other financial software applications.

  • Requires excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work independently under time constraints and on projects of varying lengths.

  • Contribute individually with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

  • Superior problem solving skills - must be resourceful and creative with solutions.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10% travel is required.
