What you’ll do:
Assist with the monthly closing process by preparing necessary analyses from monthly production reports, typically using Excel, to derive and post journal entries with supporting back-up to the Oracle Fusion general ledger
Maintain monthly reconciliation of an assigned general ledger accounts, identifying and researching unrecognized activity as needed
Prepare and request payments through the Accounts Payable
Assist with gathering data required by our external auditors
Assist in gathering data required by our external actuaries, and with validating their returned data to our source values
Prepare ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required
What we’re looking for:
2019/20 school year intern candidates
Candidates working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business field
Ability to work 15-20 hours a week
Commit to 35 work hours per week for the first two weeks in January
Active enrollment at college/university
Skills you should bring to the table:
A team player who collaborates and works well with others
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
Contribute positively to the organization, both individually and as part of a team
Proficiency in MS Excel and intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills
