Avis Budget Group Marketing Specialist II in Parsippany, New Jersey

Job Summary

The Marketing Specialist supports the Marketing Director in the successful marketing of Budget Car and Budget Truck across multiple channels. In search of eager, curious, resourceful, detail-oriented, hard-working, intuitive, organized individuals. This individual plays a key role in ensuring that Budget brand Marketing activities are driving revenue and profits for Avis Budget Group.

This role spans a wide berth of cross-functional opportunities in the areas of Budget Truck, Budget Car, Ancillary Product Marketing and Cross Border Global Marketing and includes exposure to multiple departments. This individual will assist in analyzing, developing and executing Marketing promotions/initiatives and will receive opportunities to launch individual brand campaigns, owning entire process from beginning to end. Will also work with various partners to leverage brands and build brand affinity amongst consumers. This may include, but is not limited to, event coordination, direct e-mail campaigns, collateral, website updates, promotional implementation and metrics measurement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Opportunity to own and launch individual brand campaign from beginning to end encompassing all functions and processes.

  • Direct contact with Sales, Pricing, Legal, Operations, Finance, IT, Fleet, VAB and other internal functions to support and integrate Marketing programs, promotions and communications.

  • Provide support on all campaigns including: ideation, research, analysis, offer/coupon creation, data gathering, communications, building presentations and tracking. Manage the process to ensure timely deployments of new campaigns.

  • Work directly with and manage relationships with outside agency vendors and/or corporate partners related to Marketing initiatives.

  • Monitor and perform competitive analysis and communicates findings.

  • Proactively alert appropriate stakeholders of any inconsistencies or issues with each campaign including trends, underperformance, expirations, etc.

  • Track spending; maximize spending within budget including balancing every opportunity with the cost of each program.

  • Implement process driven approach to improve efficiencies

  • Understand company’s e-commerce business channels

  • Assist and manage other projects as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related marketing experience

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.

  • Requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Requires excellent ability to multi-task and balance several important projects at one time.
