Avis Budget Group Sales Specialist in Parsippany, New Jersey

The Sales Specialist will focus on supporting Local Market directors and LMSM team with driving revenue to the local market division. The primary goal of this role is to manage and coordinate the support functions essential to the Sales organization’s productivity. This position will entail proactive analysis of local market business trends, which includes aiding the team with identifying future opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business. The position will require the ability to build and routinely run reports to assist sales team in regional planning and proficient utilization of sales prospecting tools. The role requires development and a strong working knowledge of ABG's reporting systems and demonstrate the ability to capture information to incorporate into insight based feedback to the sales team. Interaction with the customer via phone will also be required. Role will also entail a variety of additional tasks that will assist directors with reporting, newsletter announcements, seller recognition, and performance analysis and lead scrubbing.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills required, intermediate knowledge of Salesforce software preferred; expert MS Excel & MS PowerPoint proficiency required. Customer Management, Customer Service and/or sales background is required.

  • Extensive multi-tasking skills requiring sales team interaction, while researching resolutions and consulting with colleagues throughout the sales division.

  • Sales report creation & analysis via ABG reporting tools

  • Lead generation & qualification via inbound leads and web based prospecting tools

  • Retrieval of Salesforce report data and LMSM ranking analysis

  • Develop and implement processes to communicate, track and recap strategic sales initiatives

  • Collaboration with field sales and leadership on identifying rev growth opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business.

  • Customer service administration in concert w/ sales leadership and team

  • Divisional communication generation

  • Planning and coordination of sales meetings and business reviews

  • Assisting hiring manager with new hire onboarding requirements

  • Coordinates the development of RFP's, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients

  • Perform other business related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-2 year experience in a sales analysis and/or inside sales related role.

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business or marketing is preferred.

  • Candidate must have proven computer skills and have advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft outlook.

  • A self-driven, energetic, confident personality.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times.

Travel Requirements Minimal
