Avis Budget Group Specialist Wellness and Volunteerism II in Parsippany, New Jersey
Drives the Company’s Care initiatives to create a culture of health, well-being and engagement throughout the Organization. Increases awareness and engagement in the company-wide corporate social responsibility wellness & volunteerism programs. Provides customized support for all wellness & volunteerism programs to business units and locations across the Americas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promotes ABG Care initiatives (CSR, wellness & volunteerism) throughout the organization
Manages the relationships with wellness & volunteerism vendors and charitable organizations
Identifies opportunities to link medical plans with wellness strategies
Manages the Headquarters fitness center and nursing station
Drives implementation of wellness & volunteerism program strategies and innovation through entire lifecycle
Manages the ABG Care website, social media channels and other platforms and drives usage and participation
Provides direction and support to a network of 200+ Care Captains across the Americas.
Establishes relationships and buy-in from key stakeholders
Acts as the subject matter expert on health, wellness and volunteerism topics
Utilizes data to support recommendations for health and wellness and volunteerism initiatives
Develops customized best practices, reports, and action plans by business unit and/or location
Investigates and recommends options for national agreements with vendors (e.g. Weight Watchers, etc.)
Works with vendors on logistics for wellness and volunteerism events
Leverages resources and thinks strategically to ensure applicability of programs to the field locations in the Americas as well as Headquarters and Shared Services Centers
Liaises with EAP partner to promote wellness opportunities
Assists with day to day delivery of vendor programs
Coordinates logistics and implements company-wide campaigns, promotions, events, etc.
Collaborates with HR and Benefit teams and other Company departments
Creates, executes and tracks wellness & volunteerism project plans including development of delivery, implementation plans, action plans and tracking key milestones
Monitors expenditures to assure spending remain within approved budgetary guidelines
Partners with any and all technological partners supporting the Company’s wellness strategies and initiatives
Influences and guides the Care Captains and all levels of the organization in Wellness and Volunteerism activities and initiatives.
Qualifications (may vary by level)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a project coordination role
Wellness, benefits or health/nutrition related experience and/or volunteerism experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication skills (both orally and written)
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
Strong analytical skills
Strong project management skills
Strong presentation skills
Independent problem solving and decision making ability
MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Minimal travel is required.
