Avis Budget Group Sr. Treasury Analyst in Parsippany, New Jersey

Job Summary:

Performs duties related to organization’s cash management and cash flows. Monitors and analyzes daily activity and forecasts for organization. Provides support for special projects relevant to the organization’s treasury function. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and act a primary back up on all daily cash management related duties including; determination of daily cash position, inputting wire transfers, inter-company transfers, investment of cash balances, forecasting and other transactions as required.

  • Maintain and update the global long-term and short-term cash forecast by working with internal business contacts to review variance analysis and improve forecasting methodology.

  • Act as primary security administration on all banking and treasury related systems.

  • Responsible for the processing of bank account openings, closings, and signature maintenance requests.

  • Work with various business areas to obtain required bank KYC and compliance documentations requests.

  • Supports subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands on all cash management efforts.

  • Manage and update the global long-term and short-term cash forecast by working with internal business contacts to review variance analysis and improve forecasting methodology.

  • Responsible for monthly bank fee account analysis review.

  • Supports FBAR and SOX compliance including document procedures and flows.

  • Maintain treasury related policies, process and procedure documentation.

  • Supports risk management related functions including derivatives, f/x trades, interest rate swaps and caps, and commodity hedges.

  • Assist in multiple special projects as requested by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities.

Responsibility Scope/Impact (only applies to job families and field positions)

  • Levels I and II work under the direct supervision of management or more senior analysts to prepare and summarize basic data. These positions have limited accountability for interpreting business results. Level l typically has a minimum of 1 year of treasury analysis experience. Level II has a minimum of 1-3 years treasury analysis experience.

  • Level lll works independently on most routine tasks to prepare, research, and summarize more complex financial data. This position may be accountable for interpreting business results. Level IIl has a minimum of 4 years of treasury analysis experience.

  • Level IV works independently and may provide guidance to other analysts, and also prepare, research, and summarize the most complex data. This position is required to interpret and analyze business results. Level IV has a minimum of 6 years of treasury analysis experience.

Qualifications (may vary by level)

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience in Treasury or Treasury-related role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Treasury workstations and PC Banking System Reporting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize, ability to work independently and in teams, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
