Avis Budget Group Global Account Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Summary

Plans, directs, and controls the sales activities of the organization’s global sales programs to increase revenue from specified accounts and sells new business within a broad geographic area. Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization’s products and services to maximize profitability and market share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Controls and contributes to the sales activities of the organization’s national sales programs to increase revenue from specified accounts within a broad geographic area. Current Territory will be the Greater Salt Lake City area.

  • Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization’s products and services to maximize profitability and increase market share within account base in the designated geographic areas. Focus on retaining all existing account base and growing existing incremental business.

  • Negotiates/sells global accounts and contracts and makes recommendations to the organization’s sales management to identify target business opportunities. Responsible to target and sell new business within designated territory.

  • Coordinates, recommends, and implements the organization’s national sales strategies.

  • Follows and supports the organization’s marketing and communications strategies.

  • Attends, facilitates, and represents the organization at trade shows, seminars, and other sales events.

  • Maintains the organization’s national account files using a sales software tracking system.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities.

Required Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales or marketing function.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of outside sales processes.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.

Travel Requirements: Moderate to substantial travel is required.
